in one year this kid made surfing artsy and fun against a tide of silly disbelief turned adoration turned aloof shark jump. even the kool aid drinking herd is not giving him enough credit for altering the atlas of the collective surf mind. one turn in puerto rico changed the game and he was the guy carving that craft through the wave for a 9.7 or something. tell me he is not the surfing messiah. i dare you.
